Overview
The Ethics and Excellence in Journalism
Foundation was established in 1982 by Edith
Kinney Gaylord to support charitable and
educational projects. An Advisory Committee
meets periodically to review requests and
recommend grants, after which the Directors
act on the recommendations and if approved,
distributions are made.

to one of the deadlines noted below. If
the Letter of Inquiry is accepted by the
Foundation, you will be asked to move forward
with the application process by submitting
the Application Form prior to one of the
deadlines noted below. Do not move forward
with the application process until authorized
by the Foundation.
