Grants are made on a selective basis for broad general purposes in the following areas:

• Training and Education of Journalists
• Educating Students
• Freedom of Information
• Investigative Reporting
• Diversity in the Newsroom and News
• First Amendment Issues
• Electronic and New Media
• Public Interest/Policy.

No grants will be made to individuals or for scholarships. Although the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation is an Oklahoma based foundation, grant applications are accepted from all 50 states.
